Thoughts : 4 weeks later~

Hello guys it's me again~Yay long time no post HAHA! It is already week 5 for Y3S1 semester and lots of things had happened in the 4 weeks so... let's start with week 1! 😆

The first week is quite enjoy for me because I had prepared to face the assignments and fyp before this week. I had met Mr.Fairuz, who is my academic advisor and supervisor for my fyp project. So, as I mentioned before, I had chosen Web Design for my fyp and this is the start to know about the information and requirements for the project. Luckily, I had chosen a company and planned a schedule before week 1, so I felt confident at the time I discussed with Mr.Fairuz. Other than fyp, I was required to form a group for group assignment of Advance Animation. Yea I take 3 subjects for this semester which are fyp, Advance Animation (3D), and Design Research. For design research, we are required to find a supermarket and do the observation and analyzation of brands and market strategy. Actually I felt dissapointed because I can't change the tutorial class of design research from T1 to T2 due to the limitation of class slots, so I am continue to stay at T1 and joined the group assignment of T1. I only have class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so I can do my fyp and individual assignment on Tuesday and Thursday. So basically my week 1 was quite chill and I didnt feel like doing anything as I was still on semester break mood HAHA!

For second week, the individual assignment, which is reflective writing, started in tutorial class. I was given 30 minutes to write anything about design assignment that comes out from my mind, and I chose CCD3 assignment 1 as the title for my reflective writing. For advance animation, each group members designed concept boards and characters for 3D animated advertisement of Fipper Malaysia. I had chose this character for this assignment:

For my fyp, I started the phase 1, which is Project Brief. I was required to do research on target audience and competitors/similar business of my company and I felt like the stress has just begun... 😂

For third week, I was supposed to have 2 presentations which are Advance Animation group assignment and Design Research : Reflective Writing, but due to the lack of time, the design research presentation was posponed to the following week (Week 4). I presented the concept board that I made and my tutor commented that the background should be tone down abit to lower down the emphasis of background and increase the emphasis of the character, and my character needs a prop to show the characteristic in an obvious way, so I added a baby bibs on it to show the characteristic of toddler. 👶 I also forced myself to not procrastinating on my fyp phase 1 and I decided to complete phase 1 in week 4!! STOP PROCRASTINATION!!

Reached the week 4, the kinda stress week for me because I met Mr.Fairuz to deeply understand on FYP Exhibition but he just said briefly explain about the exhibition... so I need to plan a list of departments and job scopes for each department. It was stressed for me to plan a meeting with 49 students (Graphic Design and Digital Animation student) and some of them didn't even want to attend the meeting..Ugh! Before that, I chatted with Kwan (my senior) and I realized that we are way too behind because we are supposed to find sponsorship in week 3 and proposed the concept and logo in week 4 which made me nervous af...I planned a meeting with 49 students on Friday 12pm and I was happy because 47 of them attended this meeting. Before the meeting, I was scared because I don't want to be the leader of this exhibition and I don't want to take this responsibility and suffered alone 😅 but luckily I'm not the leader now HAHAHA I'm a secretary of this exhibition LOL I wanted to be a really really normal member of one of the department but leader and assistant leader said that they wanted a secretary to record everything in every meeting, and one of the junior (I don't know her at all!!) shouted my name "CORDELIA!" and most of them agree to let me become the secretary lolol seriously ahh I DON'T KNOW YOU ALL 😂😂 Kay lar at least I'm not leader HAHA so ya I'm a secretary of this fyp exhibition and I must show up in every meeting now yay.

Talk about the presentation of Design Research : Reflective Writing, I presented on Wednesday and I was the last presenter. Before I presented, I heard that many presenters got lots of comment from Ms.Clare (the tutor) about their writing, something like not specific enough, no visuals to support, not detail enough... but until my turn to present, she just commented about the annotation only .______. I was shocked because I prepared to listen many many comments from her but ended up she just commented about 1 thing from my reflective writing 😂 I was happy that she complimented about my reflective writing which is comprehensive for her and she doesn't have any specific comment for me ...okay 😂

And today! I had just done my fyp phase 1!!! YAY just wait for Mr.Fairuz's reply message but maybe I will receive his message tomorrow... lol he's kinda... not so care about his supervisee and I'm not sure whether it is a good thing for me... because most of supervisors plan weekly task for their supervisee to follow and have meeting on time (fixed time), but my supervisor is like... "Chill, just email me to ask something or show me what have you done, no need to book appointment." 😅
